Lois and her husband moved to Oro Valley in 1970 and raised their family here. She is retired from The University of Arizona, where she did scientific research in the Earth sciences. Since retirement she has kept both her hands and mind busy with such activities as Vice-President of OVCCE Homeowners Association (2005 -2006). She is in her second term as President of the Arizona Early Music Society and is a member of the Town of Oro Valley Historic Preservation Commission.
